यौवनं
धन संपत्तिः प्रभुत्वमविवेकता ।
एकैकमप्यनर्थाय
किमु यत्र चतुष्ठयम् ॥ ६७१
Yauvanam dhana sampattih prabhtvamavivekata ।
Ekaikamapyanarthaya kimu yatra chatushtayam ॥

अजायुद्धमृषिश्राद्धं
प्रभाते मेघडम्बरं ।
दम्पत्यो
कलहश्चैव परिणामो न किञ्चनः ॥ ६७२

तृष्णा न कर्तव्या तृष्णां नैव परित्यजेत् ।

शनैश्च भोक्तव्यं स्वयं वित्तमुपार्जितम् ॥ ६७३
Ati trushna na kartavya
trushnam naiva parityajet ।
Shanaih shanaishcha
bhoktavyam svayam vittamuparjitam ॥
Excessive desires are not
to be had but do not discard desires.

अलिरयं
नलिनीदलमध्यगः कमलिनीमकरन्दमदालसः ।
विधिवशात्परदेशमुपागतः
कुजटपुष्परसं बहुमन्यते ॥ ६७४
Alirayam nalinidalamadhyagah kamalinimakarandalasah ।
Vidhivashatparadeshamupagatah kujalapushparasam
bahumanyate ॥
Bees moving around lotus leaves and
enjoying the honey of lotus flowers are
suddenly transported to a foreign
country and say they enjoy the lowly Kujata flowers
there.
निर्माय खलजिह्वाग्रं
सर्वप्राणहरं नृणाम् ।
चकार किं वृथा शस्त्रविषवह्नीन् प्रजापतिः ॥ ६७५
Nirmaya khalajihvagram sarvapranaharam nrunam ।
Chakara kim vrutha shastravishavahnin prajapatih ॥
After creating the wicked tongue which can take people’s lives,
why did the creator have to create arms, poison and fire needlessly?
