 यौवनं धन संपत्तिः प्रभुत्वमविवेकता ।
एकैकमप्यनर्थाय किमु यत्र चतुष्ठयम् ॥ ६७१

Yauvanam dhana sampattih prabhtvamavivekata
Ekaikamapyanarthaya kimu yatra chatushtayam

Youth, money, power and foolishness – each of them can cause disaster
What will happen if all four are found in a person?

अजायुद्धमृषिश्राद्धं प्रभाते मेघडम्बरं ।
दम्पत्यो कलहश्चैव परिणामो न किञ्चनः ॥ ६७२

Ajayuddhamrushishraddham prabhate meghdambaram
Dampatyo kalahaschiva parinamo na kinchanah

Fight between goats, a Rishi’s shraddha(annual funeral rite), cloudy
mornings, fight between husband & wife do not yield any result.

अति तृष्णा न कर्तव्या तृष्णां नैव परित्यजेत् ।
शनैः शनैश्च भोक्तव्यं स्वयं वित्तमुपार्जितम् ॥ ६७३

Ati trushna na kartavya trushnam naiva parityajet
Shanaih shanaishcha bhoktavyam svayam vittamuparjitam

Excessive desires are not to be had but do not discard desires.
Step by step achieve desires with effort and one’s own money.

अलिरयं नलिनीदलमध्यगः कमलिनीमकरन्दमदालसः ।
विधिवशात्परदेशमुपागतः कुजटपुष्परसं बहुमन्यते ॥ ६७४

Alirayam nalinidalamadhyagah kamalinimakarandalasah
Vidhivashatparadeshamupagatah kujalapushparasam bahumanyate

Bees moving around lotus leaves and enjoying the honey of lotus flowers are
suddenly transported to a foreign country and say they enjoy the lowly Kujata flowers there.

निर्माय खलजिह्वाग्रं सर्वप्राणहरं नृणाम् ।
चकार किं वृथा शस्त्रविषवह्नीन् प्रजापतिः ॥ ६७५
 

Nirmaya khalajihvagram sarvapranaharam nrunam
Chakara kim vrutha shastravishavahnin prajapatih

After creating the wicked tongue which can take people’s lives,
why did the creator have to create arms, poison and fire needlessly?
