अपारे काव्यसंसारे कविरेकः प्रजापतिः ।
यथास्मै रोचते विश्वं तथा वै
परिवर्तते ॥ 1151
Apare kavyasamsare
kavirekak prajapatih ।
Yathasmai rochate
vishvam tatha hi parivartate ॥
In the boundless world of poetry, Brahma is the only
one poet.
He changes the universe as and when he thinks best.
घातयितुमेव नीचः परकार्यं वेति न प्रसाधयितुम् ।
पातयितुमस्ति शक्तिर्वायोः वृक्षं न चोन्नमितुम् ॥ 1152
Ghatayitumeva nichah parakaryam veti na
prasadhayitum ।
Patayitumasti shaktivaryoh vruksham na chonnamitum ॥
A wicked person only knows to destroy other’s work, not to help them.
Wind can uproot a tree, not to help it grow.
निरुत्साहस्य दीनस्य शोकपर्याकुलात्मनः ।
सर्वार्था व्यवसीदन्ति व्यसनं चाधिगच्छति ॥ 1153
Nirutsahasya dinasya shokaparyakulatmanah ।
Sarvartha vyavasidanti vyasanam chadhigachchati ॥
The work of a
person who works without enthusiasm, is feeble
and mournful, gets spoiled and leads him
into calamity.
प्रलये भिन्नमर्यादा भवन्ति किल सागराः।
सागरा भेदमिच्छन्ति प्रलयेऽपिन साधवः ॥ 1154
Pralaye bhinnamaryada bhavanti kila sagarah ।
Sagara bhedamichchanti pralaye api na
sadhavah ॥
At the time of the great floods, oceans cross limits and seek to change.
But saintly men never face any limits even at the time of any holocaust.
जानीयात्प्रेषणेभृत्यान् बान्धवान्व्यसनाऽऽगमे ।
मित्रं याऽऽपत्तिकालेषु भार्या च विभवक्षये ॥ 1155
Janiyatpreshanebhrutyan bandhanvyasana agame ।
Mitram ya apttikaleshu bharya cha vibhavakshaye
॥
A servant is utilised when carrying out an important task. Relations are remembered in times of sorrow, a friend in times of distress and wife when money is destroyed
