द्वाविमौ पुरुषौ लोके न भूतौ न भविष्यति ।
प्रार्थितं यश्च कुरुते यश्च नार्थये परम् ॥ 1176
Dvavimou purushou loke na bhutau na bhavishyati l
Prarthitam yascha kurute yascha narthaye param ll
Two types of people have not been there in the past, nor will be in the
future
One who gives away whatever is requested and one who doesn't ask for
anything from anybody.
उत्तमस्य क्षणं कोपो मध्यमस्य प्रहरद्वयं ।
अधमस्य त्वहोरात्रे पापिष्ठो नैव मुञ्चति ॥ 1177
Uttamasya kshanam kopo madhyamasya
praharadvayam l
Adhamasya tvahoratre papaishto naiva munchati
ll
The anger of a great person lasts seconds, that of an ordinary man for a
couple of hours,
that of a lowly person all through the night and that of a sinner never
gets diminished.
संसारविषवृक्षस्य द्वे एव मधुरे फले ।
सुभाषितं च सुस्वादु
सद्भिश्च सह संगमः ॥ 1178
Samsaravishavrukshasya
dve eva madhure phale l
Subhashitam
cha susvadu sadbhishcha saha samgamah ll
In this poisonous tree of life, there are only
two sweet fruits.

विवेकः सह संपत्या विनयो विद्यया सह ।
प्रभुत्वम् प्रक्षयोभेदम् चिन्हमेतन्महात्मनाम् ॥ 1179
Vivekah saha sampatya vinayo vidya saha l
Prabhutvam prakshayobhedam chinhametanmahatmanam ll
Discretion with wealth, humility along with scholarship
and power without discrimination are qualities of great people.
अप्यब्धिपानान्महत: सुमेरून्मूलनादपि ।
अपि वहन्यशनात् साधो विषमश्चित्तनिग्रह: ॥ 1180
Apyabdhipananmahatah sumerunmuladapi l
Api vahanyashanat sadhu vishamashchittanigrahah ll
Being the master of your own mind is harder than drinking the
ocean,
uprooting the Meru mountain or eating fire.
