न संशयमनारुह्य नरो भद्राणि पश्यति ।

संशयं पुनरारुह्य यदि गच्छति पश्यति ॥ १२6१

 

Na samshayamanaruhya naro bhadrani pashyati ।

samshayaṃ punararuhya yadi gacchati pashyati ॥

 

With a mindfull of doubts, one cannot see good things. If one

moves forward without doubts one can see useful and good things.

 

अनेकवर्णपदतां वाग्विद्युदिव बिभ्रति ।

अभ्रान्तेषु सदा सारसङ्गिषु स्यात स्फुरद्गुणा ॥ १२6२

 

Anekavarnapadatam vagvidyudiva bibhrati ।
Abhranteshu sada sarasangishu syata sphuradguna ॥

Speech from one who has a good command over words which are

colourful, deliberate and attached to the essence always shines

 

एकं हन्यान्न वा हन्यादिषुः क्षिप्तो धनुष्मता ।
प्राज्ञेन तु मतिः क्षिप्ता हन्याद्गर्भगतानपि ॥ १२63

Ekam hanyanna va hanyadishuh kshipto dhanushmata ।
Prājnena tu matih kshipta hanyadgarbhagatanapi ॥

 

An arrow shot by an archer may or may not kill a single man, but skilful
intrigue devised by intelligent men can kill even those who are in the womb.

 

यशोदया समा कापि देवतनां तु भूतले ।
उलूखले यया बद्धो मुक्तिदो मुक्तिमिच्छति ॥ १२64

Yashodaya sama kapi devatanam tu bhutale ।
Ulukhale yaya baddho muktido muktimichchati ॥

There is no one equal to Yashoda even in the group of Gods. While everyone is trying to free themselves from bondage, the one who can free them all (Krishna) is trying to free himself from Yashoda.

 

आयुष क्षण एकोऽपि न लभ्य: स्वर्णकोटिभि: ।

स चेन्निरर्थकं नीतः का नु हानिस्ततोधिका ॥ १२65

 

Ayusha kshana ekopi na labhyah swarnakotibhih ।

Sa chennirarthakam nitah ka nu hanistatodhikaa ॥

 

Even a minute of one’s life cannot be obtained even with a million gold coins.

If it is not used puposefully what loss is bigger than that?
