Ekavarnam yatha dugdham bhinnavarnasu
dheneshu ।
Tathaiva dharmavaichitryam tattvamekam
param smrutam ॥
Just like milk from different cows is
of the same colour,
The teaching of different religions is
all the same.
Shruyatam dharmasarvasvam shrutva chaivavadharyatam ।
Atmanah pratikulani paresham na samacharet ॥
Let us listen to what Dharma says and after listening, let us imbibe its
essence.
Let us not insist on others following what goes against our own selves.
॥ ५६३
Sarvah sampattayastasya santushtam yasya manasam ।
Upanadguddhapadasya nanu charma avruteva bhuh ॥
A person with a contented mind will be content with all sorts of wealth.
With
shoes on his feet he will not wish for the whole earth to be covered with
leather.
Teerthani deergadhvaparishramani bahuvyayani kratudambarani ।
Tapamsi muktva tanushoshanani himsavirame ramattam matirvah ॥
To attain Moksha,
going on a pilgrimage is long and arduous, performing yajnas is very expensive,
doing penance is punishment to the body. Wisemen shun all kinds of violence.
Vidvaneva vijnanati
vidvajjanaparishramam ।
Na hi vandhya
vijnanati gurvim prasavavedanam ॥
Only learned
people can understand the difficulties of scholars.
A barren woman
can not understand the troubles of a mother giving birth.
