कृतिनोऽपि प्रतीक्षन्ते सहायं कार्यसिद्धये ।

चक्षुष्मानपि नालोकाद्विना वस्तूनि पश्यति ॥ 931

 

Krutino api pratikshyante sahayam karyasiddhaye ।

Chakshushmanapi nalokadvina vastuni pashyati ॥

 

Even clever people need help to get work done.

Even one with eyes cannot see if there is no light.

 

भये वा यदि वा हर्षे संप्राप्ते यो विमर्शयेत् ।

कृत्यं न करुते वेगान् न स सन्तापमाप्नुयात् ॥ 932

 

Bhaye va yadi va harshe samprapte yo vimarshayet ।

krutyam na karute na sa santapamapnuyat ॥

 

One who ponders over and does nothing in haste when

in fear or being happy does not have to be repentant.

 

स्वहस्तेनाचरेद्दानं परहस्तेन मर्दनम् ।

भार्याहस्तेन ताम्बूलं मातृहस्तेन भोजनम् ॥ 933

 

Svahastenachareddanam parahastena mardanam ।

Bharyahastena tambulam matruhastena bhojanam ॥

 

Give charity with your hand, get massage from some other hand,

Take tambulam from wife’s hand and food from mother’s hand.

 

पूर्वे वयसि तत्कुर्याद्येन वृद्धः सुखी भवेत् ।

यावज्जीवेत तत्कुर्याद्येन प्रेत्य सुखं वसेत् ॥ 934

 

Purve vayasi tatkuryadyena vruddhah sukhi bhavet ।

Yavajjiveta tatkuryadyena pretya sukham vaset ॥

 

One should do that by which one reaches old age happily. As long as

one lives one should do that by which one is happy even after death.

दर्शने स्पर्शणे वापि श्रवणे भाषणेऽपि वा ।
यत्र द्रवत्यन्तरङ्गं स स्नेह इति कथ्यते ॥ 935

Darshane sparshne va api shravane bhashanepi va ।

Yatra dravatyaramgam sa sneha iti kathyate ॥

If seeing or touching somebody hearing or speaking with

somebody touches your heart, then it is called friendliness.
