यस्यास्ति वित्तं स नर: कुलीन: स पण्डित: स श्रुतवान् गुणज्ञ: ।
स एव वक्ता स च दर्शनीय: सर्वे गुणा: काञ्चनमाश्रयन्ते ॥ १०१

Yasyati vittam sa narah kulinah sa panditah sa shrutavan gunajnah |

Sa eva vakta sa cha darshaniyah sarve gunaah kanchanamashrayante ||

A person with wealth is considered high born, learned and well versed in scriptures. All good qualities seem to depend on wealth. 

नाक्षरं मंत्ररहीतं नमूलंनौषधिम् |
अयोग्य पुरुषं नास्ति योजकस्तत्रदुर्लभ: || १०२

Naksharam nasti mantrarahitam namulamnaushadhim |

Ayogya purusham nasti yojakastatradurlabhah ||

There is no letter which cannot be used as a mantra, there is no root which cannot form some medicine, there is no person who is absolutely useless. But persons who can identify their utility and put them to proper usage are rare.

गुरोरप्यवलिप्तस्य कार्याकार्यमजानतः ।
उत्पथं प्रतिपन्नस्य कार्यं भवति शासनम् ॥ १०३ 

Gurorapyavaliptasya karyakaryam ajanatah ।
Utpatham pratipannasya nyayyam bhavati shasanam ॥

The guru who is puffed with pride and who is unaware of good and bad deeds

And who has taken the wrong path deserves to be punished

क्षुधा तृत् आशा कुटुम्बिन्य मयि जीवति न अन्यगः ।

तासाम् आशा महासाध्वि कदाचित् माम् न मुच्यति ॥ १०४

Kshudha trut asha kutumbunya mayi jivati na anyagah ।

Tasam asha mahasadhvi kadachit mam na muchyati ॥

Hunger, thirst and desire are like my three wives never leaving me.

Of the three, desire is like the Forever faithful will never leave me.

अश्वस्य भूषणं वेगो मत्तं स्याद गजभूषणम् । 
चातुर्यं भूषणं नार्या उद्योगो नरभूषणम् ॥ १०५

Ashvasya bhooshanam vego mattam syad gajabhooshanam ।

Chaturyam bhooshanam narya udyogo narabhooshanam ॥

Speed is the feature of the horse, majestic walk that of the elephant

Cleverness is the feature of a woman and work is that of man
