For one who is moved by kindness towards
all living beings,
What use is there of unkempt hairlocks
and smearing of ash for knowledge and self-realisation?

One has to think of reactions to
calamities well in advance
No use starting to dig a well when the

Clever people read Vedas and scriptures
to many people.
They are themselves unaware just like
the spoon serving the soup not knowing its taste.

Infinite books, a lot to learn, very
little time and many obstacles,
Study those with essence only, just like
the swan which separates milk from water.
